Spring is just around the corner, and so is KAOM’s Spring CME Conference! Earn up to 19 CME credits while exploring some of the most pressing topics in medicine today, including GLP-1s for weight loss, pediatric psychiatry, ADHD and autism, menopause, and 4th-trimester care.
Hands-On POCUS Training: Learn by Doing
Ultrasound technology is transforming patient care, and this year’s conference will give you a chance to get hands-on training with Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS).
Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) offers numerous benefits, including faster time to treatment for the patient and improved diagnostic accuracy. POCUS can also provide real-time guidance during invasive procedures, helping clinicians visualize venous systems, difficult airways, and nerve systems. With POCUS, abdominal ultrasound will assess a patient’s kidneys or liver and clinicians can detect abnormalities that suggest chronic disease or acute injury. POCUS can also assist in screening patients for aneurysm and aortic dissection.”
The final lecture of the conference will be an overview of POCUS, followed by an optional Post-Conference Workshop (1:30 – 5:00 PM on Saturday). With a 1:4 instructor-to-participant ratio, you’ll get plenty of direct guidance and experience using these devices in a clinical setting.
